Short Description
Job Summary: Immediate supervision of all clinic functions, including organizing, planning, assessing, and monitoring the Medical Services provided by ThriVe® Orlando Women’s Healthcare Clinic
Job Purpose: The Nurse Manager provides support and care to the patients and maintains professional standards of care, following the ANA Code of Ethics and The ThriVe Orlando approved Medical Policies and Procedures.
ThriVe® Orlando is a fast-growing Christ-centered 501c3 clinic which provides medical services and education in a non-judgmental, respectful, and compassionate environment to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies.
We are looking for the right person for our fast-paced environment for a Patient Services Director to support functions related to activities and operations of ThriVe® Orlando Women’s Healthcare.
Program Responsibilities:
• Monitor patient care to ensure that patients receive quality and consistent care according to the FOCUS process
• Develop, implement, review, and update medical policies and procedures and communicate them to the Medical Director
• Evaluate clinic services, policies, procedures and protocols and report to ED
• Organize, direct, supervise, and evaluate medical volunteers and personnel
• Oversee performance of pregnancy tests, sonography, STD testing and prenatal vitamin program
• Perform nursing and sonography role as necessary
• Provide nursing care, assesses patient needs and makes nursing judgments which reflect safe nursing practices
• Represents the clinic in the community as delegated by the Executive Director
Personnel Responsibilities
• Along with Executive Director and Patient Services Director, interview and hire new medical personnel
• Maintain nursing staff by recruiting, orienting, and training nurses and sonographers
• Hold department training sessions as necessary
• Oversees the training and orientation of the clinic medical team
• Organize and monitor monthly medical staff and volunteer schedule
• Perform reviews and evaluations of medical staff
• Express full agreement with the ThriVe® Statement of Principle, Mission Statement, Statement of Faith
• Active member of an Evangelical church
• Maintain a consistent life-affirming philosophy and have a sincere desire to reach women at-risk for an abortion
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience
• Possesses excellent organizational skills, flexibility, reasoning, and problem-solving ability
• Thinks and works independently and as a team member
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, including electronic medical records, basic Word and Excel experience
• Holds a current RN license in good standing in the state of Florida
• Holds a current BLS (CPR) certification
• Training and experience in Limited Obstetric Ultrasound (preferred)
Other Responsibilities:
• Attend staff and volunteer meetings as required
• Assist at Fundraising Events
• Attend all-staff events as required
