ESTERA FOUNDATION
Protecting Life. Restoring Hope. Building a Culture of Life.
Our Story
Inspired by the courage, wisdom, and compassion of Queen Esther in the Bible, the Estera Foundation is committed to protecting human life, restoring hope, and helping build a culture of life in today's society.
For more than 27 years, the Estera Foundation has stood alongside women facing unplanned pregnancies and families experiencing crisis, providing compassionate support, emotional care, practical assistance, and the resources they need to choose life.
Throughout these years of faithful service, our story has been written through every mother who found hope and every one of the more than 1,700 children who were born because their mothers received support through our programs—1,700 new beginnings and 1,700 lives protected.
We believe that no woman or family should face a pregnancy crisis alone and that every human life, from conception to natural death, possesses immeasurable value and God-given dignity.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Estera Foundation is to protect human life from the moment of conception and to cultivate a society in which every person is recognized as possessing inherent value and dignity.
We fulfill this purpose by supporting individuals and families facing crises related to an unplanned pregnancy while educating future generations to embrace the value of life, responsibility, and human dignity.
This purpose serves as the foundational standard by which every activity, program, partnership, and investment of the Foundation is evaluated.
Our Mission
The mission of the Estera Foundation is to protect life from the moment of conception and restore hope by supporting women and families facing crises related to an unplanned pregnancy while equipping young people to understand the value of life, personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and human dignity.
We accomplish this mission through two complementary ministries.
A. Intervention — Supporting Life in Times of Crisis
Through the Estera Foundation Pregnancy Support Center, we provide free and confidential assistance to women and families experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
Our services include:
- Initial intake and needs assessment
- Crisis counseling
- Spiritual counseling based on Christian values
- Practical and material assistance
- Referral to specialized community services
- Ongoing mentoring and personal support
- Integration into a caring support network
Our goal is to protect life from the moment of conception while restoring hope through a holistic response to each person's physical, emotional, relational, practical, and spiritual needs.
B. Prevention — Education for a Culture of Life
We believe that protecting life begins before a crisis occurs, through the development of character, responsibility, and healthy values.
Through educational programs presented in schools, high schools, churches, and local communities, we seek to cultivate a healthy understanding of:
- the value and sanctity of human life;
- personal responsibility;
- healthy relationships;
- the foundational role of the family;
- human dignity;
- the long-term impact of life choices.
Our goal is to help young people develop the wisdom and character necessary to make life-giving decisions.
Our Vision
The Estera Foundation seeks to help build a Culture of Life in which:
- every pregnancy is welcomed as good news;
- every child is received, protected, and cherished;
- every woman facing an unplanned pregnancy finds understanding, support, and hope;
- every family is encouraged, strengthened, and equipped to embrace the responsibilities of protecting both mother and child;
- every young person is prepared to make responsible life choices rooted in dignity and respect;
- churches and local communities actively participate in protecting and celebrating life.
This vision reflects the kind of society we seek to influence through our ministry.
Our Programs
Abstinence = Freedom
Our Abstinence = Freedom educational program is presented in schools and educational institutions to help teenagers and young adults understand the relationship between sexual integrity, healthy relationships, and physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
The program highlights the lifelong benefits of abstinence until marriage and encourages responsible decision-making.
