By purchasing this training, will I be able to perform scans in my center?

Completion of the training requires not only viewing all material, but passing all of the quizzes and successfully completing the clinical component under the supervision of a qualified RDMS OB/Gyn sonographer, RN, or Physician. Performing ultrasound requires use of new technology and the development of new skills that may prove difficult to learn. Inability or failure to successfully complete each of these elements means you will not have met the suggested criteria for nurses to perform ultrasound established by AWOHNN and will not earn a completion certificate.

Additionally, your organization has specific policies and procedures in place regarding who can perform ultrasound scans at your center or clinic. Upon completion of the training, it will be at your Medical Director and/or Nurse Manger's discretion who at your organization performs scans.

Who can supervise my scans for completing the Clinical Component?

The observer may be an RDMS (OB/Gyn) sonographer, OB physician or RN that has previously successfully completed a program that follows AWHONN guidelines and has a minimum of 1 year experience at the Center.

How many people can go through the training when I purchase a subscription?

To ensure proper tracking for record keeping purposes, a separate enrollment is needed for each individual completing the training. No shared enrollment is permitted. If available, no credit will be awarded to anyone other the individual enrolled in the training.

What happens if I don't complete my training in six months?

Please see our official refund policy for more information.

Can I add the training to the private course for my center?

No, due to the nature of this training and to ensure that guidelines established by AWOHN and the California Board of Nursing are met, this training is not available for use in a private course. However, any nurse or sonographer interested in the training can take the course using the same login information they currently use to access your center's private course.
