Join Tom Lothamer, president of Life Matters Worldwide, along with Jim Sprague and James Quist as we discuss the importance of both financial and operational risk management for your pregnancy help organization.
During this webinar we will discuss the risks, both financial and ministry operations, a pregnancy help organization may experience and what steps the organization should take to protect themselves from such risks. We will spend some time discussing fundamental controls all organizations should have in place.
Without becoming aware of the risks facing the ministry and staff, we will certainly not achieve long-term success and maybe even fail in our mission and vision. Don't miss your chance to hear from ministry experts on this important topic!
Tom Lothamer began his ministry with Life Matters Worldwide when he was appointed to the board in 1985. In 1990, he became a staff member, serving as the Director of Finance and Development. And finally, on January 6, 2003, Tom was appointed as President of LMW. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BS degree in Secondary Education and an MA in Education Administration.
Having worked in development, fundraising, and finance since 1975, he represents LMW in churches around the country and overseas. He is also a frequent workshop leader at local, regional, and national pregnancy care center (PCC) conferences and board retreats. His areas of teaching are in ministry excellence, strategic planning, servant leadership, communication, board governance, and other ministry leadership and administrative areas. Since 1997, he has been involved in the training and support of PCC and ministry leaders around the world. Tom currently serves on the board of Family Life Center, a maternity home ministry located in Allendale, Michigan.
Tom and his wife Nancy have three married children, six grandchildren, and live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They attend Calvary Baptist Church where they have served since 1992 in the areas of adult Bible teaching, parent teaching and training, wedding consultation, and church leadership.
