We are seeking a driven, Spirit-filled, and mission-focused Executive Director to join forces with the servant-hearted team at Human Life Services in York, PA as we strive to offer Christ-centered care to those faced with a life-or-death choice.
Mission Statement: Human Life Services is a life affirming, Christ-centered pregnancy care organization serving York through medical services, peer counseling, education, and community referrals.
The Executive Director will:
• Direct Human Life Services toward the fulfillment of the Mission Statement.
• Effectively guide the organization in the successful management of the Strategic Plan including establishment of Policies and Procedures, Financial Resources, Budget and high-quality services in keeping with the laws of Pennsylvania.
• Provide oversight and supervision of Administrative Staff, Client Services, Medical Staff and Medical Director.
• Develop fundraising including execution of events and systematically communicating with donors providing financial support.
• Represent the ministry of Human Life Services to the public and ensure on-going relationships with pastors and churches in the community.
Minimum qualifications include:
• Be a committed Christian who demonstrates an active personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Affirm full agreement with the organization’s Mission Statement and Statement of Principles.
• Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to sexual purity.
• Maintain a consistent life-affirming philosophy, never referring or advising a woman to have an abortion.
• Respect the authority roles God has placed at the ministry.
• Possess a B.S. Degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Management, or have proven equivalent experience in a similar environment.
• Be committed to following the Matthew 18 example of conflict resolution.
• Have at least five years of experience in a management role, with direct experience in supervising paid staff in an efficient and professional office.
• Have two years of experience in marketing, fund-raising and public relations/development.
• Possess computer skills in keeping with the requirements of the position.
• Possess strong interpersonal communication skills, organization, public speaking, writing, and effective media relations.
• Provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement, and direction for the staff and volunteers.
• In conjunction with the Board of Directors, develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the Center.
• Carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
