Short Description
Objectives of the Position: Provide quality patient care in the form of limited diagnostic ultrasound exams, pregnancy coaching options and health history exam

Reports to: Medical Operations Manager and Director of Medical Operations

Time Commitment: Per Diem

1) Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
2) Must successfully pass ultrasound provider pre-qualification evaluation.
3) Agrees with the Clinic’s Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Code of Christian Conduct.
4) Is dependable and capable of committing to this position’s responsibilities and duties.
5) Expresses a desire to reach at-risk patients considering abortion.
6) Believes in the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception through natural death.
7) Has a calling to help women (and their unborn), by providing caring and compassionate counseling and limited ultrasound to diverse client population.
8) Preferred Experience in OB/GYN or L&D.
9) Exhibits strong interpersonal, spiritual, and administrative skills, takes initiative, and is flexible.
10) Make prayer an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the pregnancy center.

• Works in conjunction with clinical/office staff to assure that patients are receiving the best medical, nursing, and psychosocial care possible.
• Reinforces the humanity of the unborn child with the patient.
• Thoroughly explain all medical consent forms to patients and answer questions prior to providing any medical services.
• Perform pregnancy tests and limited OB ultrasound.
• Provide patient with pregnancy option coaching, health education, referrals for medical care/follow-up, and other pertinent community referrals.
• Grows in knowledge and skills competence for medical/diagnostic procedures performed.
• Discusses clinical questions, as needed, with the MD, PA and/or Director of Medical Operations.
• Post ultrasound clinical coordination with client services.
• Document and complete all patient care in chart and EMR in timely fashion as directed by policies and procedures.
• Conduct phone follow-up with patients, as indicated.
• Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of medical equipment and exam room.
• Perform all duties within HIPPA guidelines at all times.

• Follow guidelines for responding to emergencies and unusual ultrasound findings as specified in the P&P manual.

Continuing Education:
• Maintain active nursing license.
• Comply with state and professional continuing education requirements.
• Undergo training to become a nurse who can perform limited diagnostic ob/gyn ultrasound exams, may involve travel.
